Monica woke up today, grabbed my phone while I was downstairs getting the morning ready, and went under her toddler bed watching Youtube end credit scenes to make her cry. Like she was doing yesterday evening. When she gets like that, she can be violent. Hitting me, and herself. Nothing can describe it. Jumping out of her skin with mega emotions.
Her nose was a little stuffy, so I gave her an antihistamine. We now have about 40 minutes to get in a zone for school. We are watching Daniel Tiger, she has her Tablet watching Sesame Street, and playing with Rock, Marbles and Coins in a empty Veggie Tray.
I have said this for over a year. When her mother goes over seven days to visit, she does the end credit scenes every time. I have spoken to Alyssa about this, and she swears she will be consistent. I don't ask why, because it will always be a lie. Overtime, extra shifts, etc. It comes down that why doesn't matter. She is either here or not. And she chooses not. If it was a male, she always has found a way. That's what is important to her.
So forget about Monica's absent mom, and take a look at what she was doing before I called her over, now she is snuggling with me.
