Did not notice any change at all overnight. Monica slept the night before as she always does, sound sleeper. We listen to Josh Groban before we go to bed at night, and that routine stayed the same. She sometimes falls asleep between 1-4 songs.
She woke up to get ready for school. I dress and feed her, and gave her the protocol in the morning.
Normal 'get ready for school routine.
Day 2 4:08 PM
Monica came home from school in her spare clothes, and looked like she had been crying, a little. The daily report said she was having an off day, but they got through it This is very normal for Monica. Some days are great in 1st grade, some are off. Nothing out of the ordinary.
When she walked into the house, she smelled her FAVORITE Lou Malnatis Pizza and ran to the stove to verify the box. I told her first potty, then pizza, and we went potty. We cut up the pizza and the fruit, and she ate it, like she normally does. Watching Star Wars on the tv, Youtube on her tablet, and a normal Wednesday.
I decided to take her outside since it's still 66 in Chicagoland, and we won't be able to after a while. She went on the swing as normal, and then we went to the front yard to play with chalk.
I have to think that for me, keeping her normal routine with the protocol will be key. Don't look for a awakening, or breakthrough, just keep it simple.
Day 2 7:08 Nice long bath tonight, normal behavior for her. We watched Sesame Street, she bathed, played, I washed her hair. She rinsed, and then stood up to shower. She always takes a bath and shower for a few years now.
Let's hope for a fast bedtime in a couple of hours.
